Parametric Dome Camera Junction Box

This is a custom-designed parametric junction box for mounting a dome security camera specifically engineered for Grandstream GXV3610 cameras. The accompanying STL file can be easily modified in OpenSCAD to accommodate your unique camera model by adjusting parameters such as diameter, height, thickness, and number of screw holes. For optimal results, it is highly recommended that you test the fit of the box on your camera mount with a 1mm high test print before proceeding to print a full box. This step ensures a precise fit, avoiding any potential issues during installation. To achieve a professional finish, the printed box can be modified to feature tapered walls, mirroring those found in commercially available products. When it comes to printing, using PLA filament with 50% infill and four shells yields excellent results. To enhance the appearance of the finished product, apply a base coat of Rustoleum plastic primer followed by two top coats that match your soffits' color. The total cost for this project is approximately $2.50, consisting solely of filament and paint expenses.
