I had some wax and wanted to craft unique candles. To allow myself complete control over size, a parametric design seemed like the perfect solution. Additionally, I figured a three-part mold would be much easier to remove than a two-part mold, so I designed one that way. Users can now pick their preferred size and customize a mold tailored specifically to their needs. Simply print out the three individual parts of the mold, ensuring that the top of the candle will eventually end up at the bottom when filling it. Cover the interior with cooking oil or a suitable mold release before snapping the pieces together while keeping the wick securely in place. To hold everything together temporarily, use a rubber band or some tape. Next, follow standard candle-making procedures to melt the wax and pour it into the mold, keeping the wick tied to something at the top (which will eventually be the bottom of the finished candle). Remember to stay safe by avoiding overheating the wax and following proper guidelines for melting it. If needed, Google can provide detailed instructions on how to do this safely.
