This update shows positive results and potential improvements to the design. Currently, it is being utilized on the X-axis while working on specific tolerance issues. PLA is recommended over ABS, as the latter tends to disintegrate, especially when the weight is off-center. In a week, full functionality may be achieved. The creator also experiments with aluminum profiles for linear motion in place of makerslide, utilizing PLA bushings for 20x20 profiles. New profiles are on their way for testing and evaluation. The .scad file includes three models: bare PLA, which requires adjustments; PTFE-based, using a 6mm diameter PTFE filament with four screws for secure attachment to the profile; PTFE runs smoothly but necessitates tightening. Test results featuring excessive clearance are showcased in this video link, and the X-axis carriage design can be found here. The blog provides additional photos, and the customizer tag allows users to modify drive length and other variables, although their functionality is uncertain.
