Parametric Craft Stick Pinwheel
thingiverse
This OpenSCAD script enables you to create pinwheels from standard (113 x 9 x 1.5 mm) or jumbo (148 x 17 x 1.5 mm) craft sticks. The pinwheels spin on a reliable 608 skateboard bearing, giving you control over the number of blades, blade pitch, and whether they feature a power take-off rim. Detailed instructions are available in a comment at the top of the script. I've successfully printed and tested pinwheels with up to 16 blades using this script. Ten blades appear to be the minimum for optimal performance, but the script generates a functional hub for any number of blades. Print Settings Printer Brand: Prusa Printer: Prusa Steel Rafts: They Don't Matter Supports: None Resolution: .04 mm Infill: 20% Notes: All hubs printed with PLA work well. ABS should also function, but beware of potential warpage and dimensional changes. Pinwheels in Action
