For when you want to wind your cables without sharp bends or risk of unrolling. This is a parametic model that let's you set cable diameter, desiered length to wind and the number of turns (to set the height). The particular one uploaded wraps about 1 meter of ø3.6 mm cable over 6 turns. Perfect for a shortening the cable on a pair of Sennheiser HD 558.

I recommend printing in PETG to get that sweet flexibility from the hinge that is only 0.4 mm thick. Otherwise there is not much to think about, short of the managing the 11 mm bridge of the lock.

A note on the design: the cylinder in the middle of the hinge is there to make the bend radius predictable and needs to be there to get the height of the “holding threads” on the lock right.

And a note on usage: this might be obvious for most people but you can only wind the cord one way, else it won't end up in the threads and the lock won't be able to close.

Warning: if the file throws a warning when a parameter is changed then try updating the file manually or go into the extrusion that throws the error and reselect the profile. If this doesn't work then leave a comment and I will try to fix it!
