By drawing motivation from whowhatwhere's cookie cutters, I initiated the creation of a versatile cookie cutter pattern using OpenSCAD script. This innovative design features adjustable standard dimensions and a customizable "primitive" module for various scalable flat shapes. It is designed with three distinct wall thicknesses: a thick lip at the bottom, a sturdy wall for most of the height, and a single-filament-width tip at the top. To use this pattern, open Cookie in OpenSCAD, set your desired diameter, and replace the "primitive" module's contents with your preferred flat shape, utilizing Catarina Mona's shapes library as inspiration for octagons, hexagons, or crosses. After designing and compiling the render (F6), export it as an STL file. In Skeinforge, ensure appropriate layer thicknesses in skeinview, with the lip having a little fill, the middle double-pathed, and the tip featuring around 2 layers of single path. Fine-tune cookie.scad's layer width parameters if necessary to achieve perfection before printing.
