Parametric container with threaded lid and optional seal -------------------------------------------------------------------------- The OpenSCAD file (Parametric_can+lid+seal.scad) makes it possible to create custom containers with a threaded lid and optionally: - seal - knurling on the lid - text on the lid The necessary dimensions are specified in the attached pdf file (parametric_can+lid+seal-dimensions.pdf) The seal is designed for a tight fit, but it creates leakproof containers. Additional libraries ------------------------- To use the provided SCAD file, you need two more libraries: - Nut Job library from mike_mattala (Nut_Job.scad needed): https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:193647 - Chamfer library from SebiTimeWaster (Chamfer.scad needed): https://github.com/SebiTimeWaster/Chamfers-for-OpenSCAD The knurling is also based on the library from M_D_K, but no files are needed: https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:3673637/files Attention ------------ - The "Preview" function of OpenSCAD does not always show correct models, use the "Render" function - Depending on your computer and resolution settings, the "Render" can take some minutes Examples ---------- A can and lid were printed with different colors of PLA, while the seal was printed with TPU on a Creality Ender 3 Pro. All of them passed the leak test.
