Parametric collet rack for a toolbox

Parametric collet rack for a toolbox

thingiverse

This is a low-profile collet holder that fits in a shallow drawer of a toolbox. This is OpenSCAD code. The default dimensions are for a 4x4 matrix of ER40 collets, but everything is parametric, so the design can easily be adopted for a different matrix or different size collets. Basically this is a deck with a matrix of holes in it that the collets fit in. There is a square box around each hole that drops to the drawer bottom and gives support to the collet(s). There is an outer shell around the entire matrix at a specified thickness. I didn't want a bottom on my boxes, but there is an option to include a bottom plate. When a bottom is added, the total height remains the same, so you may have to add the bottom thickness to the total height if the collet sits low enough in the rack to bottom-out on the plate. There is an option to invert the whole thing so that your slicer will print it upside down by default.
