Parametric Coin Tube
prusaprinters

I just wanted a coin tube that I could put in drawers without having to worry about them rolling around so I made one.

To edit it for a different size coin you can change the parameters in Fusion 360 by going to Design>Modify>Change Parameters.

Coin thickness, Coin diameter, and the number of coins per roll are the most common to need to be changed.

Thread_Tolerance is the amount of empty space between the two threaded sections, currently it is set to .2mm but your machine may differ.

Thread_Length determines how long the threaded section of the tube is, if you are doing a shorter roll you may want to make it shorter.

Top_Bottom_thickness just defines how thick the top and bottom of the tube is

Thread_size is how defined the threads are, I wouldn't change it casually because it will start causing other glitches on the model. If you do need to change it you will also need to change the Inside_Wall_Thickness constant that is currently set to 2mm, and the d62 variable which is the overall wall thickness.

D62 is the overall wall thickness

You can easily make a custom size for any cylindrical object by setting the coin number to one and making diameter and thickness as desired.

The only coins I have are United States currency so other countries currency is based off of their official standards and have not been tested. If you would like another size of container and are unable to edit the parametric model send me a message with coin diameter, thickness, and number per roll and I will try and add it to this page.
