Parametric Coin Storage Tube(s) + Cap (modified)
thingiverse
I have enhanced the original OpenSCAD design by newq with several customizations. - I have modified the height and width of the slot cutout on the sides of the tube. - I have customized the width of the cap cutout to suit specific needs. - Users can choose whether or not to print holes in the cap and the bottom of the tube, depending on their requirements. - When the cap is not being generated, the extra height from the tube is automatically removed. - The default coin and quantity used for this design are 40 quarters, as they were used extensively. Printers and settings may cause issues with the bridge across the tube cutouts. One potential problem encountered was that the first layer of the bridge didn't follow the curve of the tube perfectly, resulting in a small amount of filament sticking out into the tube. However, this issue did not significantly impact the design's functionality, as coins easily pushed the excess filament aside. To define a custom coin, refer to the instructions on the original design page for further information.
