Parametric Camera Filter Adapter
thingiverse
This Neutral Density (ND) filter adapter is designed to fit the front of a P6*6 Pinhole camera. It helps decrease light exposure for slower exposures in bright conditions. The ND filters, available in different stops like ND2, ND4 and ND8, are used to reduce the amount of light entering the camera by half with each stop. An ND8 filter can turn a 1-second exposure into an 8-second one. Color filters can also be applied for special effects. The STL file is parametric and can be adapted to other cameras or any required filter size. The OpenSCAD script ensures upright orientation and eliminates overhangs. Before printing, use the test_ring.scad file to determine the "fudge" variable in the adapter script. Post-printing adjustments may be required for a tight fit on the camera. Printed in black ABS with 2 perimeters, 50% infill and 3 layers top and bottom, sliced using Slic3r Ver 9x.
