Parametric Burr Puzzle Module

Parametric Burr Puzzle Module

thingiverse

This OpenScad module lets you create models for various Burr puzzle pieces. The bit configuration pattern resembles that of the site: http://www.research.ibm.com/BurrPuzzles/index.html, where you can use a calculator to generate puzzles. Included is the burrx() module, extending the pattern to 4*L bits for corner blocks on the lower level. The function syntax is 'burr (size, length, pattern, tolerance)'. Size determines tile width, length denotes block additions, and pattern consists of ones and zeroes representing existing blocks. A block of size L requires 2 * L + 2 * (L-2) bits with specific positions for upper and lower layers. An example STL file is provided for a level 6 burr puzzle, also available at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:7446.
