Parametric box with sliding top and latch
thingiverse
Show only the customizer frame (https://customizer.makerbot.com/things/4341818) - a workaround for the intermittent frame height issue on the customizer page. There are many parametric box designs available, but this one's key feature is its locking system for the sliding lid. The system includes two hooks on the sides that ensure the box doesn't open accidentally. To open it, simply press the buttons of the two hooks and slide the lid with your thumb from the other hand. The model is highly customizable. You can adjust not only the box dimensions but also the rail and hook parameters and tolerances using the Customizer app on Thingiverse or the OpenScad customizer, which is more comfortable to use. Some consistency checks are performed on the parameters, but it's still possible to input something that's meaningless or not printable. The default values are set for a small box and provide a good fit on my printer with 0.2mm layer height (no supports needed). You may need to adjust the tolerances for the best results. The tolerances only apply to the lid, so you can fine-tune them without re-printing the entire box. Simply re-print the lid to get a perfect fit depending on your printer and print settings. Most other parameters affect both parts, except the box height, which you can change without re-printing the lid.
