Parametric box with hinged lid - rzigzagto
thingiverse
Parametric box with lid created in Postscript. Set your size, material thickness, offset height, lid lip width, zigzag node width, and tab width to get started. The code is optimized for minimal cut length and glue-free assembly. Note: Some errors may still occur; erase a few tabs or adjust the tab width as needed using Illustrator. I'm a beginner to Postscript programming and learned from examples on Thingiverse. Zigzag nodes were inspired by an idea at blog.ponoko.com/2008/11/03/how-to-create-better-nodes/. Simply copy and paste this function into your design. Postscript is text-editable. Your file can also be opened in Illustrator and other design programs. Update v1_1: The hinge hole has been repositioned to a proper size. You'll find the revised version on Thingiverse. Update v2_1: An option to stack-cut an arc at the bottom of each side is now available.
