Parametric Bit Driver (hex 2mm to 10mm)
thingiverse
I've been unable to locate a suitable driver for 4mm bits, so I took matters into my own hands and designed one myself using OpenSCAD. The source code is available for anyone who's interested. Inside the driver is a hole specifically designed to accommodate a magnet with a diameter of 4mm and a height of 2mm. When assembling the driver, simply press-fit the magnet in place; if it doesn't fit snugly, you can use glue to secure it. The tolerances have been optimized for use with Prusa MK2/MK3 printers, but you may need to make some adjustments depending on your specific printer model. **Update:** You folks seem to be enjoying this design, so I've taken it a step further by making it parametric and adding customizer support. With this updated version, you can now generate hex drivers for bits ranging from 2mm to 10mm, as well as experiment with different magnet sizes.
With this file you will be able to print Parametric Bit Driver (hex 2mm to 10mm) with your 3D printer. Click on the button and save the file on your computer to work, edit or customize your design. You can also find more 3D designs for printers on Parametric Bit Driver (hex 2mm to 10mm).
