A buddy of mine was looking for a fresh set of bushings for his bike suspension. I helped him out by fabricating some in stainless steel - he wasn't convinced about the reliability of 3D printing. So, we decided to give 3D printed bushings a shot. We opted to print with PLA and went for 100% infill, eager to see how they would hold up. After logging over 100 kilometers, so far so good! Now, we'll have to wait and see just how far these bushings can go. By the way, I've got to admit - building stainless steel parts wasn't the smartest move. It turns out it's actually easier to swap out the 3D printed bushings than fix a damaged aluminum bike frame.
