Parametric Bi-fold Door Top Rail Guide
thingiverse
I had trouble finding the type of guide at my local hardware store that matched the bi-fold door I was repairing, so I decided to create this parametric version that could be adjusted to fit. I'm using it in conjunction with a Spring loaded steel pivot shaft from the hardware store, which usually comes with wheels for the guides but didn't have one that fit this door. Initially, I tried a version of this without the base, and although it worked by fitting through the gap in the rail so I wouldn't have to take the rails down to install it, it was a little wobbly. The bi-fold doors I'm fixing require taking the rail down to use a version with a base that has a width close to that of the inside of the rail. I've included 2 images showing the dimension variables for the rail & guides. To create a custom version for your needs, open the openscad file and change the variables to match your situation - I used a digital caliper to get the dimensions of the existing hardware.
