Parametric ball joint
thingiverse
In OpenSCAD, you can generate a customized ball joint by tweaking some parameters. For instance, set the size of the ball joint to 10 using "size=10;" and adjust other attributes like joint spacing (e.g., joint_spacing = 0.5), joint thickness (joint_thickness = 2), number of arms (joint_arms = 5), and arm width (arm_width = 10). To see an animation, uncomment "demo();" and comment "print();". For printing, choose the latter, press F6, and export to STL. Check out a cool implementation of this 'part' in a camera mount at http://www.thingiverse.com/thing:2631.
