Parametric Atari 2600 4 Switch Composite Mod Enclosure
thingiverse
**Update: I have uploaded the parametric program so you can tailor the design to meet your specific needs.** This enclosure was crafted for Simon Plata's Atari composite mod board and should fit most precise recreations of their design. It allows a standard AV cable to be connected inside the system in a similar manner as how the RF is connected, making it a lot easier than having to cut up cables to solder and doesn't require drilling into the case. The AV cable can be thick but the plugs need to be fairly compact to fit through the hole in the case and between the enclosure and the switches. The enclosure was designed to fit all Atari 2600 models, with most likely not fitting a 2600 Jr., 7800 or 6 switch console. If your 2600 model is different, please leave a comment below. The enclosure is secured with M2.5 nylon bolts to the PCB in the space of the horizontal RF unit, you may need to desolder mounting holes. A zip tie is recommended to secure the AV cable to the post near the cable exit. If you're careful with desoldering, this mod is completely reversible as long as you keep all of the removed components.
