parametric | art :: generative easter egg
thingiverse
This year, after my 3D printed Easter egg design graced Makerbot's shop window, I created a new one and am excited to share it with you. If you haven't seen my tutorial on parametric 3D printing of eggs like this, check it out at http://goo.gl/hBFfTg. I printed the design using a Leapfrog Creatr Dual 3D printer (http://goo.gl/OtZV7q) with white PLA filament at 210°C and .2 mm layer height, taking just 3.5 hours to complete. The model was designed in Rhino and Grasshopper, with custom supports created in Meshmixer. Don't forget to share your prints and have a fantastic Easter weekend!
