Parametric Air Coil Inductor Core
thingiverse
I had to design some custom inductors to build an EMF sensor for audio recording. Here's a parametric one that anyone can use for their electronics projects. This is just the core of the inductor, and you'll need to get your own wire for it. I used 0.2mm enamel wire for mine, which worked great. To calculate the inductance, I used this online tool: https://www.allaboutcircuits.com/tools/coil-inductance-calculator/. To figure out the necessary length of wire, simply multiply the diameter of the wire by the number of turns you want to make. If you need more help or have other requests for this tool, please leave a comment below. In my example, I did two layers, so a small catchment lip was necessary. If you need more wire, you may need to add support to hold the lip in place.
