Parameterized Vase Mode Container:Zig Zag
prusaprinters
This is a parameterized version of my Zig Zag playmat tube. Releasing a parameterized version was one of my goals originally, but I abandoned it some time in the middle. I recently recieved a request for the Fusion 360 files to be able to make it in different sizes, and I decided to revisit the project and make those adjustable.Parameters: nozzle size- the diameter of the nozzle to be used; Also the desired wall thickness of the finished tube. tube diameter- the inside diameter of the tube body length- the length of the body sections not including the connectors. The total length of each section will be this value plus 31-32mm. The top sections have a shorter body at 80% this value plus the connectors. The total length with 3 sections will be: this value x 2.8 + 64 + (33 for Screw Top) tolerance- extra space added between mating surfaces. This can be adjusted to fit your printer's accuracy. The default value of 0.1mm works well on my Ender 3.The parameters are adjustable in the parameters window in Fusion 360. I checked several diameter and length combinations, and they work with out breaking anything, but some sizes could require adjustment of some operations. I have included files for a shorter and wider tube. It has a diameter of 110mm and a body length of 55mm and for 0.4mm wall width. I haven't confirmed if these work yet, but it is produced with the same base of my other models, so it should work.Print in vase mode with the wall width equal to your nozzle size. No bottom layers on the center section and the screw top section. The screw cap and snap top section need to be printed upside-down.
