Parameterized Spool for thread or string

I was startled when a spool shattered on a massive coil of nylon thread, stretching over 300 yards in length. I conducted an online search and was surprised to find that no suitable spools for string or thread were available here, although numerous filament spools and spool holders could be found. Undeterred, I decided to create one myself and printed the design. The new spool functioned flawlessly, but attempting to transfer the nylon thread from the remnants of the original spool was a frustrating experience. After struggling for a while, I managed to wind about 50 yards of the thread before it became hopelessly tangled beyond repair. In hindsight, it would have been more efficient and less time-consuming to simply purchase a new spool of thread instead of investing in this makeshift solution.
