Student Assignment: Advanced 3D Modeling Techniques.\nThe Paralyzer Pistol from the iconic Metroid series serves as a case study for this project. Utilizing concept art from the critically acclaimed game Metroid: Other M as a reference point, I created a highly detailed and realistic model of the pistol. The initial modeling process took place within Maya, where I carefully crafted each component to ensure accuracy and precision. Subsequent detailing was achieved in ZBrush, allowing for intricate textures and patterns to be added to the model. Finally, Substance Painter was used to apply a photorealistic texture, bringing the Paralyzer Pistol to life with striking realism.
