A Little Experiment: Parallel Hinged Box I decided to try out a parallel hinged box, and it slides open and close with ease. People have been telling me it looks like a coffin, but I'd say it resembles a fridge more. Whatever the case, here's how I made it. The joints are made from 2 mm diameter rods that fit snugly into holes drilled in the wood. You can use toothpicks as an alternative if you prefer. Feel free to take my design and create something entirely new by remixing it with your own ideas.
