Parallel Box Desktop Organizer

Parallel Box Desktop Organizer

I envisioned crafting a desktop organizer that would seamlessly integrate into both an office and maker-space setting. This project comprises three distinct files. The Desk Organizer Body features standard holders for pens, pencils, screwdrivers, and scissors, accompanied by a shallow bowl and USB/SD Card slots. As a standalone unit, this single file can serve as a fully functional desktop organizer. The Desk Organizer Tackle Stack consists of three parallel moving boxes connected via linkages. Two of these prints fit neatly within the main body's bowl, serving as print-in-place assemblies that require no support material. Although printing support can enhance appearance, it is not essential. The Desk Organizer Cover serves a dual purpose: concealing any clutter within the boxes while also functioning as a multi-compartment holder when inverted. This feature proves particularly useful for organizing tiny screws during electronics disassembly. One of the accompanying images showcases M&M's in the shallow bowl; please note that FDM prints are not suitable for storing food. The M&M's were merely used for visual purposes.
