Parakeet Food Dish
myminifactory
I designed a specialized food container for my parakeet, which is strategically mounted inside its cage. The dish features a sturdy perch where the bird can comfortably dine while using the container. I crafted this innovative design utilizing Tinkercad and printed it with precision in PLA, adhering to the Cura guidelines for fine detail settings (0.2mm layer thickness). To ensure exceptional durability, I opted for 50% infill, which is significantly above average for maximum strength. My printing settings included a 200-degree nozzle temperature and a 60-degree bed temperature, both measured in Celsius. For optimal results, I highly recommend incorporating supports into the design, as the raised perch on this dish may require additional structural reinforcement. After approximately six and a half hours of printing time, the container consumed roughly twenty grams of filament. Fortunately, the support material detached effortlessly, allowing me to achieve excellent performance from the finished product. Additionally, I took the precaution of drilling a small hole in the rear section of the dish to securely fasten it to the cage's side for enhanced safety precautions.
