Here's a snapshot of the model: Verts - 2650 Faces - 2930 Tris - 5328 A little historical background: The Tacuarí Steam was an active ship in the Paraguayan Navy, which played a crucial role in the Triple Alliance War between 1864 and 1870. It served as the flagship of the Paraguayan fleet. Built by British engineers John and Alfred Blyth at their West India Dock facility in Limehouse, England, the Tacuarí was constructed back in 1852. The ship joined the Paraguayan Navy four years later in 1854. In November of 1864, the Paraguayan corvette captured a Brazilian ship called Marquês de Olinda with all hands and cargo on board. Among the passengers was the President of the province of Mato Grosso, Frederico Carneiro de Campos. Specifications: Type: Steam Corvette Launched: 1853 Displacement: 488 tons Propulsion: two powerful steam engines generating 180 horsepower each. Speed: capable of moving at speeds of up to 16 knots (29.6 km/h). Armament: The ship was equipped with six impressive guns, consisting of four long-barreled cannon, a Whitworth gun and a few smaller Blakely cannons. Crew size: the Tacuarí had 70 experienced officers and men on board.
