Paraffin lamp LED flicker flame conversion
thingiverse
First attempt to design an LED conversion for an old and broken paraffin lamp. Flicker flame guts come from cheap bulbs on eBay. Flex PCB with LEDs is easy to extract and these have reasonable current draw direct on the 4.2V max from a single 18650 cell. The battery tube is made large enough to fit a 1S BMS beside the cell. In the future I might modify this to take a 3S cell arrangment to allow a buck voltage converter to power the LEDs at their original voltage. The switch I used ended up being glued in after the one I designed it for broke but a switch with a longer back shell can be secured properly with the nut.
