Print this 550lb Paracord-compatible ratcheting pulley block for easy raising and lowering of hanging objects. A video demonstrates its function (http://flic.kr/p/c4ujHG). For printing, use PLA with 20% infill, three shells on all layers, and a solid surface thickness layer count of four in Skeinforge 41. The Paracord Ratchet assembles using five 4-40 x 1.0 inch bolts and nuts or M3 x 25 mm bolts and lock nuts; lock nuts are crucial for functionality. A spring or rubber band provides necessary tension. To use the ratchet, attach a paracord to a secure hanging point before threading it through the device, then turn the wheel with the release lever down. Watch the video for a demonstration, and always test your ratchet before use!
