Parachutes de France analog altimeter replacement shell
thingiverse
I misplaced the rubber frame for my analog Parachutes de France altimeter, so I fabricated a brand new 3D-printed frame. This frame bears no resemblance to the original design. It provides a very snug fit. A cutout is included for the adjustment screw and for the split ring that secures the glass in place. This frame will securely hold the glass in position if it has come loose. To achieve a looser fit, increase the inner diameter by 0.5mm by resizing the entire frame. If it's a looser fit, the frame will rely on the space between the glass and altimeter body to stay in place. I have not tested whether the six nubs on the inside are suitable for this. One potential remix idea is to position LEDs around the edge of the glass, illuminating the dial for nighttime jumps. If you attempt this modification, please share your results.
