Here is the rewritten text: We, students in the natural sciences course (class 9) of the Herta-Lebenstein-Realschule, have designed and built a parabolic trough model that showcases our understanding of thermal energy. This innovative project was created to demonstrate the principles of concentrating light rays onto a single point, resulting in increased heat. Our design features a unique setup where light rays are concentrated and focused on one specific area, heating up a tube in the process. We utilized various materials to bring this concept to life: * 14 washers * 14 mother-of-pearl materials * 3 threaded rods with a diameter of 4mm * High-quality mirror foil One of the key features of our parabolic trough is its adjustable length, which can be adjusted by simply screwing in or out the threaded rod. This flexibility allows for experimentation and testing of different configurations. We would love to receive constructive feedback on our project and are eager to hear your thoughts. Be sure to check out our other projects as well!
