A Parabolic Sound Collector: Enhanced Acoustics for a Smoother Print This larger design improves upon my previous parabolic mic, offering superior acoustics that will enhance your audio recordings. It can be printed on a standard 200x200mm bed, and to achieve optimal results, print it with solid layers since sound waves reflect better off hard surfaces. To assemble this device, you'll need several M3 5mm screws, four M3 20mm screws, locking M3 nuts, and a lapel microphone. Once assembled, test its capabilities by capturing real-world sounds, like the self-hygiene habits of a pug. To demonstrate its effectiveness, I recorded a nature video that showcases the parabolic mic's capabilities alongside the lapel microphone. You can view this comparison at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2isji7mE3Ik. As weather permits, I'll add more real-world examples to further illustrate the benefits of this improved sound collector.
