Parabolic Microphone, 340mm
thingiverse
A larger, more advanced parabolic microphone model boasts significantly improved acoustics compared to my previous design. It prints well on a 200x200mm bed and should be printed solidly, as sound reflects much better off hard surfaces. To assemble this mic, you will need several M3 5mm screws, four M3 20mm screws, locking M3 nuts, and a lapel microphone. Test 1: A small stream waterfall was recorded using just the microphone for the first 10 seconds. The last 10 seconds were captured with the parabolic mic setup in place, revealing a dramatic difference. https://youtu.be/C6U8m3roYoE Test 2: Witness the unsavory self-hygiene sounds of a pug. The first 10 seconds were recorded through the parabolic mic, while the last 8 seconds were captured with just the lapel microphone. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=2isji7mE3Ik
