Biquad antennas are incredibly cost-effective, offering impressive upgrades to RF device range in the GHz spectrum. Double biquad topologies boast even more gain, which can be further enhanced by molding a parabolic reflector. A pair of spacers was crafted for a 2.4GHz double biquad antenna inspired by Andrew McNeil's design (available at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FCcQakg3Y3I). The associated PDF served as a template. This makeshift setup can effectively boost WiFi, Bluetooth, Zigbee, or NRF range. Each parabolic spacer secures the reflector using three M2 bolts or equivalents. These small metal fasteners provide sufficient grip when driven into plastic components. Utilize thin sheet metal or mesh – aluminum worked well in my case – for added structural integrity.
