Parabolic Curve Business Card Holder
thingiverse
The living hinge concept is truly impressive; I find it equally useful in a stationary setting where the wood remains motionless. It's fascinating to imagine crafting curved wooden objects by positioning the hinge accordingly. This design calls for 1/8" plywood, which can be cut using a laser cutter. Assembly is simple - just snap the pieces together by inserting tabs into holes. No glue required! To optimize the hinge's performance, parallel scoring with the wood grain is recommended; however, against-the-grain scoring might work if needed. For thicker plywood, adjust the size of the tabs and receiving holes accordingly. Remember to be cautious about laser kerf and focus during cutting.
