This demonstration illustrates the focal point of a parabolic curve clearly. Print all four parts and position the pin at the focal point of the parabola. Mount a laser module on the slider, then place the slider onto the parabola's surface. Attach mirror tape to the parabolic surface as well. Shine the laser and slide it along the parabola. Wherever the laser beam is directed, it will always point towards the pin at the focal point. To accommodate your specific laser module, you may need to modify the laser mount accordingly.
