This gadget lets you use affordable color gel filters on your LED accent PAR38 spotlights for special occasions. My home features a row of accent spotlights. In previous years, I've used pricey colored halogen bulbs costing $20 each. After upgrading my spotlights to LED, which run significantly cooler, I figured I could substitute cheap gel filters instead of purchasing dedicated bulbs. (I couldn't find colored LED spotlights anywhere!) The holder should fit any PAR38 bulb. If you stick with halogen, you'll need a filament that can withstand the heat!
