PAPR v1
thingiverse
This is a collection of custom fittings designed to transform a standard 3M respirator into a powered air-purifying respirator. The goal is to eliminate leakage caused by facial hair and minimize fogging under a welding mask. I revamped my original prototype to incorporate a centrifugal fan instead of an axial fan, which has proven to be exactly what I needed now. The fan link appears to be broken; here's the correct URL: https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00B2ARV22/ This design utilizes some spare anesthesia tubing that I had on hand, so you'll need to modify it to accommodate your chosen tubing type. Edit: I've added a straight feeder pipe from the blower and a diffuser that can be used in a confined mask without the respirator. If anyone is interested, I'm happy to provide F3D files for this design.
