PAPR Filter holder
thingiverse
Working in Fusion 360, I'm testing parts around my house to create a makeshift PAPR system using more readily available stock components right now, like "bag over the head/drawstring" type gear. If this approach doesn't work, I can always swap out other stuff for flexibility. It would be great to leverage small HEPA filters designed for desktop air purifiers to make something more comfortable than face masks for medical settings. If there's a good design, others could use it as a starting point for their own prints. Another idea is cutting down high-rated furnace filters that have similar particulate size and filtering efficiency to N95 masks in my research. This would also offer the benefit of reduced direct exposure to patients' respiration through a lower intake.
