Almost every precision mechanic starts the apprenticeship with this little project. Main goal is to get some skill in filing. Lucky ones get an aluminum cube, bad boys get steel, even a round slice ;-) Brass is used for the base plate. Optional the pips, made out of e.g. PVC, are jacked.
