Our team, led by Mitch Palmer and Dene Huntley, aimed to produce a product that exuded simplicity, elegance, and offered distinct features for increased sales potential. To achieve this goal, we developed a concept with a straightforward paper-tear system. The rear enclosure doubles as a handle and tear rail, while the weighted base ensures balance and stability. Moreover, our design aligns with Umbra's existing form language, which can boost sales by appealing to both end users and retailers as part of a coordinated set.
