PaperMate Sharpwriter Holder
thingiverse
Just like Adam Savage, we've tried the PaperMate Sharpwriter. He loves them; we're kind of meh because the fit and finish is rough. The lead wiggles, which drives us mad. That said, we have boxes of them scattered throughout the shop. To make them even more useful, we whipped up a pressure-fit mount that can be secured with CA or epoxy to everything - our tools, desks, etc. are covered liberally with them so there's always a pencil available. The one really nice thing about Sharpwriters is that they're cheap and refillable. These are specifically sized for the Sharpwriter; they won't hold regular wood pencils or most pens. You can either scale the STL to fit your instrument of choice, or heat gently and bend the pressure-applying "wing" to hold regular pencils with no problem.
