Paper Towel Holder

thingiverse

This is a functional paper towel holder designed for easy installation and maintenance. To assemble this print, you'll need a 1.25-inch wood dowel and short self-tapping wood screws or wood glue, a 3-5cm M5 screw, and an M5 nut. The print consists of three main pieces: the top cup, two base cups, and an endcap for the dowel. First, print the top cup with an inset nut to be mounted at the bottom of a shelf. Use Cura's "pause at height" plugin to pause the print around 6mm in height, allowing you to insert the nut before resuming the print. Once done, move on to printing the two base pieces: one endcap for the dowel and another screw-on cap that retains the paper towel roll. After these prints are complete, attach the base cup and top cup to opposite ends of the dowel, trimming it to your desired length as needed. To use this holder, unscrew the retainer from the base piece, remove the old paper towel roll, insert a new one, and screw the retainer back on. The M5 screw will keep the spool securely mounted to your shelf.
