A desk or table stabilizer for a roll of packing paper (or similar items). Designed specifically for rolls of indented kraft paper 24 inches wide and 360 feet long, Uline stock number S-3652. It should also work well with any roll that has a maximum diameter of about 10 inches and a central hole of approximately 1 inch. Two hanger pieces are screwed under the table at each end using four #6 wood screws or similar. The shaft then slides into place to support the roll securely. The shaft features a hole running down its center, which is designed to enhance its strength by adding internal walls in place of infill. Inserting an M6 cap head machine screw up to 35mm long can further strengthen it. To achieve maximum strength, print the hanger with the large, flat surface facing downwards on the bed. Similarly, print the shaft with the flat side facing downwards on the bed. Printing with four perimeters and ten percent cubic infill results in a strong enough stabilizer to support the intended roll without flexing. The roll spins smoothly and freely when in use.
