Paper Rocket Fin Guide

This is a step-by-step guide to help attach tail fins to paper and tape rockets used on 1/2" NPT launch tubes. Download our free template from this link: https://www.airrocketworks.com/wp/standard-template/ For NASA templates, visit this page: https://www.airrocketworks.com/wp/nasa-kennedy-space-center-templates/ To use this fin guide, there are two options. One side is for building straight fins, while the other side is designed for 5° angled fins that create a spinning motion. Begin by constructing the rocket body tube and then insert the PVC mandrel into the center of the guide. Position the body tube at a comfortable working height. Fold the fins in half and apply tape to one side of each fin. Tuck the untaped flap between the body and the guide, making sure it is aligned properly. Once all three flaps are securely taped, remove the mandrel and rocket from the guide and apply additional tape on the other side of the fin for extra security. Note that the rocket in the picture has undergone multiple launches, which explains its somewhat crumpled nosecone. A better picture should be posted to reflect this project's progress.
