Paper Pot Tool

Paper Pot Tool

This handy tool makes little paper pots out of newspaper, perfect for starting seeds and easy to use.\nAfter seeing various designs that weren't quite right, I decided to create my own by designing a custom tool in OpenSCAD. Editing the .scad file allows you to easily adjust the pot size, depth, grip sizes, and more.\nJust cut a strip of newspaper (black and white is best, as colored ink can contain toxins - black ink is mostly soy) around hand-width. Wrap it around the cylinder on the larger tool part, fold in the ends, press into the cap, and carefully remove the newly-formed pot! The biodegradable black and white newspaper allows you to simply drop the entire thing into the ground once your plants are ready.\nThis design is released under the MIT License, available at https://opensource.org/licenses/MIT. While Thingiverse didn't offer this option, I wanted to share it anyway - feel free to modify or use it as you see fit!\nPrint Settings\nPrinter Brand: RepRap\nPrinter: Prusa i3 - P3Steel frame, bowden paradigm\nRafts: No\nSupports: No\nResolution: 300 micron (0.3mm)\nInfill: 25%\nNotes: This print requires no supports or external parts, just the two printed pieces (in one .stl file).\nHow I Designed This\nI created this design in OpenSCAD and it's a fully parametric design. Feel free to change, adjust, refactor, share, upload, sell, or do whatever you like!
