Paper Plate Holder
thingiverse
A clever paper plate holder for standard 9-inch plates was designed using my Creality CR-10 printer. I set the layer height to an ultra-low 0.32, utilizing high-quality Solutech PLA filament at a scorching hot temperature of 210 degrees Celsius. To ensure a strong and sturdy build, I opted for three shells and equally impressive top and bottom layers. A slight tweak was necessary in Simplify3D - increasing the extrusion width to an astonishing 0.45 - to prevent the hexagons from printing out as disconnected pieces. If you fail to notice this crucial detail during your preview, you might end up with a plate that falls apart into numerous independent hexes. On average, this print takes approximately five and a half hours to complete.
