Paper Mini bases
thingiverse
I needed some stable bases for using paper miniatures, but none of those I found was quite what I wanted. I usually fully 3D print and paint minis, so when I use paper minis, the core point is doing it as simple and efficient as possible. These are made to let me use the paper I print on with no reinforcements/additions for stability. The "wave" design is intended to both create extra friction and give the paper itself some extra stability with tall models, like the dragon example in the picture. Larger bases are designed with bigger waves. There is about 0.3 mm clearing for the paper (0.4 at the edges). This seem to be perfect for the paper I use. Easy to insert the models, but enough friction that they stay in place until I make a bit of an effort to remove them. I recommend that you start with printing a single medium sized base, to see of the size fits both your printer clearances and the size of your paper, and resizing of it is just slightly off. If there is interest/need, I might make some variations for different paper thickness. The Green Dragon mini are made by Paper Forge. The Wyvern and Rakshasa are made by Printable Heroes. The Cyclops is just the official artwork printed.
