When I use screws in PLA, and I plan to not disassemble it. I screw right into PLA and put some Gorilla Glue on the threads to lock them in place. Once the Outer tower is assembled you can install the lamp kit or if using the Candle, set the candle in place.The inner tower requires you to use the place the double sided tape on the bottom of one of the Inner Tower Top and Bottom. Now attach the Mulberry paper to the double sided tape. This process can be easier if you have another person holding the rollof mulberry tight, then you place down the taped part and trim the edges with a razor knife. Trying to size the paper exactly and then attaching it does work as easily. This will make a little waste with the mulberry paper but it give a much easier assembly. The part with mulberry paper is now the Top part of the inner tower.Assemble the inner tower with the remaining (8) 3x12 SHCS and a touch of Gorilla glue on the threads. The Inner Tower Top should have the mulberry paper and the paper should should be facing downward to hide the trimmed edges. At this point put double sided tape on the edges of the inner tower and repeat the attachment to the mulberry paper using a razoer knife to trim the edges. To assemble the two lamp pieces, the inner tower just slides in, no latching. You'll need to slide it up to turn on and off the candle or lamp. A few Notes:If you go with the lamp kit linked, you will need to cut the threaded rod to fit the length of the base. Easy with a hacksaw or dremel. When attaching your tape to the inner tower. Along the top edge, go thinner, 4mm of so, if you go too high you'll see the edge of the paper sticking out the top and it will look less neat.Having an extra set of hands to hold the paper tight really helps.You'll need a ball end hex key to screw in the SHCS as the fit is tight. You could buy a lamp kit with a switch on the cord and not the lamp base if you do not want to to have to slide the inner tower up and down every time you want to turn the lamp on and off.
